Our Background
The Friends of Camp Geiger in conjunction with the town of Whitehall PA have been putting on the Camp Geiger Civil War Weekend since the mid to early 2000's. Unlike many other Civil War events, Camp Geiger has become well known for its use of fortifications and trenches which have been added to the immersive experience of both Spectators and Reenactors.

In 2021, the Friends of Camp Geiger officially shut its doors, thus reorganizing the event under the new leadership of Frank Ruiz and the Union Volunteers reenacting organization. Since then the event has continued to grow and evolve as it heads into 2025!

In Loving Memory
Frank June Ruiz was the founder and Lt Colonel of the Union Volunteers Organization. Camp Geiger always held a special place in his heart so we the UV put on this event not only for the men who served in America's great tragedy but also in loving memory of Frankie's passion for this hobby and the Civil War.
